arrowADHESIVE STAIN REMOVAL TIPS

Adhesives have the potential to be very messy when they are overused or misused. Here are a few tips and tricks that will help you remove the residue left behind by sticky labels, clean stains caused by rubber cement and paste, and remove glue from surfaces where it unintentionally landed.

GLUE STAIN REMOVAL 

1. Mix one teaspoon of a mild pH balanced detergent (a mild non alkaline non bleaching detergent) with a cup of lukewarm water, blot
2. Mix one tablespoon of household ammonia with a half cup of water, blot
3. Mix one teaspoon of a mild pH balanced detergent (a mild non alkaline non bleaching detergent) with a cup of lukewarm water, blot
4. Sponge with clean water, blot
Note: Always test an inconspicuous area for colorfastness, etc. before treating the entire area. Also note that certain stains are permanent.


PASTE WAX STAIN REMOVAL
1. Sponge a small amount of dry cleaning solvent, blot
2. Mix one teaspoon of a mild pH balanced detergent (a mild non alkaline non bleaching detergent) with a cup of lukewarm water, blot
3. Sponge with clean water, blot


HAND LOTION STAIN REMOVAL
1. Sponge with a small amount of dry cleaning solvent, blot
2. Mix one teaspoon of a mild pH balanced detergent (a mild non alkaline non bleaching detergent) with a cup of lukewarm water, blot
3. Sponge with clean water, blot
